A. Single inlet looper longitudinal shear

This type of longitudinal shear sets a looper in front of the shear bed. The methods of feeding the strip into the inlet loop include central drive uncoiling, tension uncoiling, and floating roller control uncoiling. This method can achieve micro tension or zero tension shearing to avoid slipping of the cutting edge; At the same time, the uncoiler can achieve strip centering without the centering device on the loop.

 

B. Single outlet looper longitudinal shear

This type of longitudinal shear is equipped with a loop after the shearing machine, and the cut strip is pushed into a tension free loop between the shearing machine and the tensioning device by the shearing machine. For thin strips, an inlet edge guide system may be required to ensure stable uncoiling during shearing. This method can effectively avoid the problem of asynchronous coiling of each strip caused by thickness difference, and achieve coiling of the strip by controlling the coiling tension; Due to the installation of an outlet loop, the strip can freely flow out of the cutting edge, avoiding wear of the strip on the cutting edge under tension and affecting the service life of the cutting edge; At the same time, due to the lack of tension at the outlet, the phenomenon of strip necking is avoided. Single outlet loopers are commonly used.

 

C. Double loop longitudinal shear

The double loop longitudinal shear combines two forms: the inlet loop longitudinal shear and the outlet loop longitudinal shear. After leaving the coiling machine and before entering the shearing machine, the strip is fed into a free loop by the uncoiler or a pinch roller device or tensioning device. The cut strip leaves the shearing machine and is fed into another loop before entering the tensioning device. Therefore, this longitudinal cutting method is called "double loop" longitudinal cutting. By adopting this form of longitudinal cutting, the longitudinal cutting machine is only used for slitting the strip, thus eliminating the possibility of the strip slipping at the cutting edge of the scissors. This method neutralizes the characteristics of single inlet loop and single outlet loop, and is suitable for cutting thin and soft strips.
